Beginner scoreboard: the point value is not your clock
Points are the event weight. Minutes are a separate count. Record both, and do not treat points as time.
Points are a weight the board prints
Each challenge card on a practice board shows a point value. That number is the weight the organizers stored for a correct submission. It is not a timer, and it is not a measurement of how long your group sat with the file.
Two cards can share the same weight. Sharing a weight does not make them the same challenge, and it does not make the work take the same number of minutes.
Your minutes come from a different instrument
If you time the work, the timer is yours: a clock on the table, a note of start and stop, or the event clock if you are recording the window. Those readings stay on their own line.
A larger point value is still only a larger weight. It does not prove the card was the hardest item for your group, and it does not prove you should skip a smaller card.
A scoreboard line in the notebook
Write the challenge name, the point value, and the minutes you actually spent, each labeled. If you did not time the work, write that the minutes were not recorded. Do not copy the point value into the minutes column.
Club night: one hundred points and twelve minutes
The practice card Harbor Notes shows 100 points. The table timer reads 12 minutes when the group stops. A draft says the card took 100 minutes and was the hardest item because 100 is the largest number on that card.
The notebook says points 100 and elapsed 12 minutes. The 100 stays a weight. A second card that also shows 100 is a second weight, not a second copy of those 12 minutes.

Check yourself
1. A card shows 100 points and the table timer shows 12 minutes. What is the 100?
2. You want the notebook to show how long the group worked. What do you write?
3. Two cards both show 100 points. What follows?
