A voucher code is not a scheduled exam
A voucher is a code you can spend on an exam, often with its own expiry. The appointment is a separate confirmation with a date and a center or proctor. Write both, and do not treat the voucher expiry as the day you sit.
The code is unspent credit
A voucher email or PDF shows a code and, often, a last day the code can be used. That is the life of the credit. It does not place you in a seat, and it does not name the exam clock.
If the expiry is missing, write “voucher expiry not shown.” Do not invent a sitting from the purchase date.
The appointment is the sitting
A confirmation from the testing vendor names the exam code, the date and time, and whether the sitting is at a center or online. Until that confirmation exists, write “appointment not scheduled.”
Spending the voucher is what creates the appointment. Owning the code is the step before that.
What to write down
File the voucher code’s last usable day, and file the confirmation’s date separately if you have it. A sentence that says “I sit on” has to name the confirmation.
Lab: a December expiry read as exam day
Voucher VCH-440 can be used through 2026-12-01. No testing confirmation is in the folder. A draft puts “exam day: 1 December” on the study plan because that is the only date on the voucher.
The note says 1 December is the last day the code can be used. Appointment: not scheduled. The study plan does not gain a sitting from the voucher alone.
voucher: VCH-440 usable through: 2026-12-01 confirmation: none write: credit expires that day not: the exam is on 1 December
